Role Overview

The Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator will support the integration of the volunteer vision and commitment across all functions of the organization. You will support a team of volunteer Team Members to deliver on a range of goals according to The Local Charity’s Strategic Plan (Please see the link for the PDF).

This Role Includes, But Not Limited To

  • Recruit, screen, interview, conduct character references checks, and onboard (volunteer) Team Members,
  • Support People Team in cultivating organization culture and contribute to organization’s execution of the strategic plan.
  • Hold regular meeting for People’s Team and All Hands meeting to ensure that People’s Team is supporting the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications:

  • Believing in our cause is mandatory 🙂
  • Vision to inspire and lead our local community to be charitable, be kind to one another (be it via The Local Charity or other avenue).
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for volunteerism
  • Attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills
  • Assessment candidate and align fit to roles/opportunities
  • Interest in Human Resource, & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, screen, interview, conduct character references checks, and onboard (volunteer) Team Members,

  • Self-directed with the ability to organize, plan, and prioritize
  • Critical thinking and detail-oriented

*Clearance of vulnerable sector background check with the police via our agency may be required
