Role Overview
The Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator will support the integration of the volunteer vision and commitment across all functions of the organization. You will support a team of volunteer Team Members to deliver on a range of goals according to The Local Charity’s Strategic Plan (Please see the link for the PDF).
This Role Includes, But Not Limited To
- Recruit, screen, interview, conduct character references checks, and onboard (volunteer) Team Members,
- Support People Team in cultivating organization culture and contribute to organization’s execution of the strategic plan.
- Hold regular meeting for People’s Team and All Hands meeting to ensure that People’s Team is supporting the organization’s strategic goals.
Qualifications:
- Believing in our cause is mandatory 🙂
- Vision to inspire and lead our local community to be charitable, be kind to one another (be it via The Local Charity or other avenue).
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for volunteerism
- Attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills
- Assessment candidate and align fit to roles/opportunities
- Interest in Human Resource, & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion would be an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, screen, interview, conduct character references checks, and onboard (volunteer) Team Members,

- Support other assigned functions & contribute to organization mission

- Critical thinking and detail-oriented
*Clearance of vulnerable sector background check with the police via our agency may be required
