The Local Charity is a volunteer-run Canadian registered non-profit charity based in Toronto devoted to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our mission is to enable and inspire individuals to reach their greatest potential. Our goal is to empower them to be the author of their own story.
Our approach is through improving access to technology & education for vulnerable youths in our local community, as well as promote mental wellness and emotional intelligence.

We are a lean operation run entirely by volunteers with minimal overhead expenses.

Job Brief
We are looking for Photographer(s) to take photos that youths can use professionally (LinkedIn/Resume) or to build their ventures. We work with marginalized youth from the Greater Toronto Area.

We’re still finalizing the details of this event, but here’s what we were thinking:

Date: Sunday June 5, 2022
Time: Looking for your advice for best time given natural lighting (2-5pm ish?)
Location: Christie’s Pit Park
Details: We plan to have boxed lunches and lawn games throughout the event. Prior to the event, youth can pre-book a time slot with the photographers

Key Responsibilities:

• Advice on set up (duration of each session, etc.)
• Taking photos of youths
• Editing the photos as your see fit and uploading it for the youth to download
• Provide feedback to the team as you see fit
